About
This blog is all about human behaviour in the work place – about you, about me, and the things we do (or don’t).
Go to amazon.com and do a simple search on management, HR, psychology or business, and you will find close to endless amount of literature on these subjects. And then there is this blog. With it I will aim at describing, discussing and commenting on phenomena, practices and behaviours that one way or another can affect organisational effectiveness – but in such away that you don’t have to be a university professor to understand the language used. Moreover, the topics will not be limited to traditional areas such as leadership or organisational design, but also how to increase organisational effectiveness by utilising the exciting new possibilities that exist online – so called web 2.0 applications.
My name is Omar Bitar and I am an Organizational Psychologist, having obtained my MSc degree at the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield. I have had the opportunity to do a range of activities from giving university lectures to doing research. Currently I am also working as an Organizational Development Manager with an iGaming company. As you probably suspect, I have a great passion for psychology in general, and human behavior at the work place in specific. That being said, I am also very passionate about football (Manchester United in particular), and probably spend too much time learning about new and exciting internet applications.
Finally, welcome to this blog. Stick around and leave me a message!
